Crazy George Schlitz
There is no other performer in the United States who embodies the craziness of an Oktoberfestival more than Crazy George. A one man show like no other will perform all weekend throughout the Duluth Oktoberfestival grounds and will undoubtedly put you in the correct frame of mind as you enter the festival. This is the one man you won’t be able to miss.
Duluth locals Suzi Ludwig (accordion, vocals) and Jimi Cooper (guitar, ukulele, vocals) team up to bring you Dance Attic. Their set list consists of many originals and old favorites ranging from old time country and polka to Italian and Norwegian instrumental pieces. Although their original music is hard to pin down to a particular genre, it is packed with old-time charm and fun.
Formed in 2017, the Polkarobics rose to the demand for polka and Oktoberfest music in the Duluth area. Suzi Ludwig and Jimi Cooper of Dance Attic are joined by Veikko Lepisto on bass and Brad Nelson on drums. They play a wide variety of polkas and waltzes including favorites like Tavern in the Town, Beer Barrel Polka, and much more.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if Gogol Bordello had a date with Frankie Yankovic in a beer hall? Well you might end up with something like Winzige Hosen. With Brian Schanzenbach on accordion and Kala Shepersky on tuba, they bring the classic polka sound and mix it in with the rock and punk styles of Luke Nyen and Abe Curran on guitar, Nikki Moeller on bass, Al Bastien on drums and Patrick Sunderland on trumpet. This polka-punk band is sure to keep our bier hall rocking!
